We believe that adoption and orphan care remind us who we are as sons and daughters of the Father and that caring for the least of these has it roots in the Greatest Commandment and the Great Commission. Therefore, we believe orphan care should be fulfilled through the Body of Christ, the church, to the glory of God.

Altar84 is committed to equipping churches and families with Gospel-centered, church-initiated Orphan Care Ministries through Advocating, Educating, and Resourcing.

To advocate is to urgently plead and support the cause of another. Because Altar84 is passionate about serving and loving the orphan, just as the Father has served and loved us, we believe it is critical that our mission always be to champion the family and the local church in caring for the orphan, the vulnerable child, and their birth families.

Through education, Altar84 will seek to empower the church and families to know and respond to the Gospel call to seek justice and care for the least of these, while also serving adoptive, foster, and birth families within their local and international communities. We will seek to accomplish this through an effective step-by-step execution process that is customized to meet each church’s objectives/needs.

Resourcing families and local churches together with support networks is a key element in developing a Gospel-centered, sustainable Orphan Care Ministry. It is our desire to equip the families and churches with the necessary resources they need to be able to minister effectively to children, families, communities, and the world.

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity and humanity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His present rule as Head of the Church and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe that, for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit and that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, with equality across racial, gender, and class differences.
